Role Summary:

We’re hiring a freelance Software Engineer with strong Python and integration experience for a 12-month remote contract (Europe or Singapore-region).

You’ll build and scale core connectors, ingestion pipelines and automation workflows that feed our investor-grade insights platform.

You’ll work with APIs, data flows, Python scripting and AI-powered tools to integrate multiple systems and deliver value to our financial-investment workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy and maintain Python-based integration pipelines and automation scripts for external systems (APIs, webhooks, file feeds, CRM/finance tools).

• Collaborate with investment/finance domain stakeholders to translate their workflows into technical solutions (e.g., deal sourcing, portfolio monitoring, performance tracking).

• Implement data-ingestion, transformation, enrichment (including AI/automation tool usage) and monitoring workflows.

• Produce clear technical documentation, mappings and runbooks; troubleshoot end-to-end issues (auth, rate limits, schema changes, data quality).

• Work independently, manage your remote schedule across time zones, communicate proactively with engineering/product teams, and deliver reliable contract outcomes.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience (ideally 3–5 years of Python + integrations).

• Proficient in Python for production-grade pipelines, with experience in REST/GraphQL APIs, OAuth/API keys, automation frameworks.

• Strong domain understanding of finance/investment workflows (VC/PE/alternative assets, deal flow, portfolio metrics).

• Skilled at working independently/freelance style, comfortable remote, across time zones, with strong communication.

• Ready to summarise in your application the two most relevant Python/integration projects you’ve done (in one sentence each).

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with CRM/RevOps or investor-workflow systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Affinity, etc).

• Exposure to BI/reporting or dashboards, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerisation (Docker) or monitoring.

• Freelance/contract background with global teams, and familiarity with private-market data sources or workflows.

• Location: Remote — candidates based in Europe (EEA/UK) or Singapore region.
