Manager, Data & AI Governance

regional financial institution

with

Asia-Pacific region .

Operating across 15+ markets, the bank blends strong local heritage with a modern, globally minded vision.

You will be responsible for implementing and managing our data and AI governance framework, ensuring the integrity, security, and compliant use of data across the Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain the Bank’s Data & AI Governance framework, policies, and standards in line with HKMA requirements.

Develop project plans, manage timelines, and secure cross-functional buy-in.

Manage the business glossary, data catalog, and Critical Data Elements (CDEs).

Execute plans to onboard new data domains and track progress against catalog coverage targets.

I dentify, assess, and mitigate data risks.

Monitor data controls and quality, managing the remediation of data issues from root cause analysis to solution implementation.

Support AI Governance and Model Risk Management processes.

Facilitate model reviews and track findings to closure, ensuring ethical and compliant AI/ML use.

Promote data ownership and provide expertise to business units.

Execute change management plans, lead training, and manage stakeholder communication to drive adoption.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Minimum 4 years of experience

in data governance, data risk, or data controls.

Must have experience within a banking or financial institution in Hong Kong.

Solid understanding of data governance frameworks and HKMA regulatory requirements.

Proven project management experience, with the ability to lead initiatives, manage timelines, and drive cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of AI Model Risk Management is an advantage.

Fluent in English and Chinese.
