Qualifications

• Have been successful working with elementary and/or middle school kids
• Confidently manage groups of up to 20 students with minimal assistance
• Can improvise, adapt, and take initiative when needed
• Are approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with kids
• Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model
• Connect with students and foster positive learning experiences
• Pay close attention to student needs and adjust activities accordingly

• Ensure activities run smoothly and efficiently within allocated timeframes
• Must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening
• Must have reliable transportation

• Engage students in sports, games, and other activities
• Supporting kids’ behavioral management needs
• Collaborate seamlessly with school administrators, teachers, and fellow coaches
• Leading outdoor lessons designed to increase excitement about learning
• Serve as a positive role model to the students to build kids’ self-esteem and emotional wellness
• Occasional running and other strenuous physical activity

Role: Substitute Instructor

Schedule: Part-time, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Expected Hourly Rate: $32-$40 per hour

ABOUT YOU

• 1 year of coding experience preferred, however, candidates without coding experience are also encouraged to apply

Additional Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening.

• 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or other child-focused experiences strongly preferred.

• Must have reliable transportation.
