Commercial Lead, Qatar

Full Description

As the Commercial Lead for Qatar, you will be the primary architect of Scale AI's growth within the State of Qatar.

Reporting directly to the Country GM, you will manage our most critical government relationships and identify "Greenfield" opportunities across the Ministry ecosystem.

Your goal is to move Scale AI from a service provider to a strategic national partner in Qatar's AI journey.

You will

• Act as the "Right Hand" to the GM in managing the MCIT (Ministry of Communications and Information Technology) account and expanding into new Ministries, and eventually the private sector.

• Develop and execute a territory plan that aligns Scale's capabilities with Qatar's National Vision 2030.

• Lead complex, multi-million dollar government deals, from initial whiteboarding through negotiations to final order form signature.

• you will be responsible for mentoring and leading a local team of Strategists. You will lead by influence, coordinating with EMEA-based Product and Engineering teams to tailor solutions for the Qatari market.

• Liaise with internal teams to accurately forecast, owning this process in its entirety.

Ideally, you'll have

• 10+ years in Enterprise Sales or Government Relations, specifically within the GCC (Qatar experience highly preferred).

• Ability to discuss data residency, on-premise AI deployments, and the strategic importance of Arabic-language LLMs.

• Deep understanding of Qatari business etiquette and the ability to navigate the nuances of Ministry-level decision-making.

• You are comfortable being a leader with humility who rolls up their sleeves to get the job done, with the seniority to lead a department and the executive presence to meet with Ministers.

Additional Details:

This position may require occasional travel across the region, and will be based in Qatar.

The role is primarily office-based with standard working hours.
