Building Automation Service Specialist

Qualifications

  • Electro-mechanical experience (either through previous experience or education) and user PC/software skill
  • Ability and willingness to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high lift equipment; working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditions
  • Must be willing and able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet as well as able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED

Responsibilities

  • The Building Automation Service Specialist will conduct service agreement tasks, scheduled maintenance, and project support to ensure building automation systems are properly maintained and operating correctly, while interacting with customers to promote energy savings and sustainability
  • Executes digitalization and standard service operations strategies
  • Works with multiple internal service team members including Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, and Region Americas Digital Service Center personnel
  • Follows safety requirements as outlined by Siemens and customers
  • Successfully completes assigned training as outlined in the training path
  • Follows mandatory policies, procedures, and standards and maintains tools and test equipment
  • Responds to service calls (emergency and on-site) as assigned
  • Performs repairs as directed on all automation system types
  • Responsible for completing service ticket documentation per the policy and follows maintains preventive maintenance schedules
  • Maintains complete and accurate documentation of services performed and generates reports within Siemens tools
  • Performs system checkout and startup on projects and other duties as assigned
  • Rotational On-Call and/or Minimal Overnight Travel - Compressed schedule performance can be a factor and will require extended hours to meet commitments
  • Work is generally performed at customer locations in a local area and may include time spent on construction site, which may have a moderate noise level and regular distractions
