Position Overview

SOZO Intuition Systems is seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Software Developer to lead the full-stack development and core infrastructure of our AI-driven web and mobile applications.

This role is a critical blend of frontend and backend engineering, AI system design, and DevOps leadership.

You will be a cornerstone of our technical team, owning the end-to-end delivery of features from user interface to cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development

• Architect and build robust features across the entire stack using React (Web), React Native (Mobile), and Python/FastAPI (Backend).

• Collaborate across the team to deliver high-quality user-facing features.

• Develop services for secure data ingestion, transformation, and storage.

2. AI System Integration

• Design and develop components of our AI pipeline for the curation, enrichment, and analysis of technical data.

• Architect autonomous agents and intelligent systems for reasoning and summarization using LangGraph, vector databases, and LLMs.

• Integrate natural language processing (NLP) workflows into backend services while ensuring all AI-generated contributions meet rigorous standards for logic and performance.

3. DevOps & Infrastructure

• Lead the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for backend, mobile, and web applications.

• Own infrastructure on AWS using Docker and infrastructure-as-code practices.

• Manage deployments for mobile (TestFlight, Google Play Console) and web.

• Take ownership of production systems and respond to operational issues when needed.

• Ensure high standards for system security, observability, and long-term maintainability.

4. AI-Augmented Engineering:

• Utilize modern AI coding assistants and tools to accelerate the development lifecycle without compromising code integrity.

• Maintain a "trust but verify" approach to AI-generated code, ensuring all deployments are efficient, secure, and free of technical debt or "slop."

5. Technical Leadership

• Help define software engineering practices, testing strategies, and code quality standards.

• Lead infrastructure decisions and advocate for scalable, maintainable architectures.

• Serve as the technical lead for DevOps, cloud, and AI deployment issues.

• Translate product requirements into scalable technical designs and implementation plans.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of software development experience, with a proven track record in both frontend and backend domains.

• Technical Proficiency:

• Backend: Strong proficiency in Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.

• Frontend/Mobile: Expert knowledge of React and mobile deployment pipelines.

• Architecture: Experience designing and operating microservice-based systems in production.

• AI/Data: Familiarity with LangGraph, LLMs, vector databases, and NLP tools.

• Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS, Linux, and observability tools.

• Soft Skills: A proactive mindset with a bias for action and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$120,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC V6E 2J3
