DevOps Engineer (Azure / AI Integrations)

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate must be willing to be onsite 3 days a week in the Dallas office
  • Because this is a contract-to-hire role, all candidates but be able to work directly on a W2 with no third-party sponsorship allowed
  • 7–10 years of professional software engineering or DevOps experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on work with Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, or API Management
  • Strong programming skills in C#, Node.js, or Python
  • Proven experience building and supporting serverless integrations using Azure services (Functions, Event Grid, Key Vault, App Service Plans)
  • 3–5 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi, Terraform, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture, event-driven design, and enterprise integrations
  • Experience with AI/ML integration or machine learning model deployment in Azure (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with contract management or ERP systems (Pramata, Workday, Dynamics, SAP, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills; able to partner cross-functionally with business and technical teams
  • Experience mentoring engineers and leading design/architecture discussions

Responsibilities

  • The Principal DevOps Engineer will lead the design, development, and delivery of Azure-based integrations and AI-driven enterprise systems
  • This role blends hands-on engineering with architectural leadership, building scalable, event-driven solutions that power core business systems — including contract management, ERP, CRM, and finance applications
  • You’ll lead architecture and delivery efforts for cloud-native integrations, mentor engineers, and help shape how AI and automation transform enterprise operations
  • Design, develop, and deploy Azure Function Apps and serverless integrations across enterprise systems
  • Lead architecture and design sessions focused on scalability, performance, and AI/ML integration
  • Integrate critical business platforms such as Pramata, Dynamics CRM, Workday Financials, and other enterprise tools
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and event-driven workflows for real-time automation and reporting
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Pulumi (IaC)
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate needs into scalable solutions
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams in cloud architecture, automation, and best practices
  • Document system architecture, data flows, and integration processes for enterprise contract systems (eCMS)
  • Champion DevOps excellence, fostering a culture of collaboration, automation, and innovation

The Planet Group has partnered with a Dallas area company to locate a DevOps Engineer to work with Azure integrations for a contract-to-hire role.

The successful candidate must be willing to be onsite 3 days a week in the Dallas office.

• Background in consulting or enterprise client delivery (Deloitte, Accenture, PwC, etc.)
