About The Role

We're building AI-powered tools for preconstruction - helping builders, estimators, and project teams work together with certainty instead of chaos.

You'll be designing user journeys and collaboration workflows that let companies exchange plans and coordinate bids, saving them from email/excel hell.

You'll be the first dedicated designer on our Growth team, designing the workflows that turn prospects into active users while pioneering PLG in an industry that prefers the handshake to the software login.

This is platform design work: solving how teams collaborate across company boundaries, how private work becomes shared context, and how we help the preconstruction industry transition to the age of AI.,

What You’ll Do

PLG funnel optimization - Take our activation rate to new heights through rapid prototyping and testing.

Every experiment ships within days, not months - you'll see real usage data on your designs weekly.

Collaboration workflows - Design how companies share plans, coordinate projects, and maintain their private work while participating in a shared ecosystem.

You're designing the interaction model, not just the UI.

Platform interaction patterns - Solve problems like: "How does someone do detailed work privately, then selectively share results? How do we make cross-company coordination feel effortless when email and Excel are the alternatives?"

Validation-driven design - You'll prototype 5 concepts before refining 1.

Every design gets tested - with users, with data, with our pilot partner who's ready to roll this out to their entire network.

How You'll Work

•Embedded in the Growth team You work daily with the Product, Engineering and QA functions as a core member of the growth product team.

•Discovery-driven design: You understand real user workflows and pain points before designing solutions. Construction professionals have strong opinions - you'll talk to them early and often.

•Rapid iteration You'll use Figma, Figma Make, Lovable, and whatever AI-powered prototyping tools help you move fast. The goal is learning, not perfection on the first try.

• Prototype → Validate → Ship Your designs go from concept to user testing to production in days, not weeks. You'll be in the engineering handover conversations, understanding constraints and finding creative solutions within them.

• Autonomous but connected You own the design process end-to-end for the Growth team. You'll also collaborate with the Expansion team's designer on shared components and co-design sessions. ,

What You’ll Bring

•You've designed for platforms, marketplaces, or B2B SaaS where multiple user types interact (bonus points: construction, field services, or industries going through digital transformation)

•Your portfolio shows iteration, not just polish - we want to see the evolution of ideas, failed experiments, and what you learned

•You're comfortable being the first design hire on a team - you'll help define the design process, not inherit an established one

•You default to "ship and learn" over "get it perfect first" - speed of learning matters more than pixel perfection

•You can work closely with engineers to understand technical constraints and find creative solutions within them (basic HTML/CSS understanding is helpful but not required)

•You have platform thinking - you understand designing systems where users create, share, and build on each other's work
