Our client, a cutting-edge research institution at the forefront of innovation, is seeking a brilliant and pioneering AI Research Scientist with a specialization in Machine Learning.

This role is based in our state-of-the-art facility located in Sokoto, Sokoto, NG.

You will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence, developing novel algorithms, and building sophisticated machine learning models to solve complex real-world problems.

This position requires a Ph.

D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related quantitative field, coupled with a strong publication record and hands-on experience.

You will collaborate with a world-class team of researchers, engineers, and data scientists, contributing to groundbreaking advancements in AI.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct fundamental and applied research in machine learning, deep learning, and related AI fields.

Develop, implement, and evaluate novel algorithms and models for various applications, such as natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics.

Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and validate research findings.

Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in the AI and machine learning community.

Publish research findings in top-tier academic conferences and journals.

Collaborate with engineering teams to translate research prototypes into production-ready systems.

Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the intellectual property portfolio of the institution.

Present research ideas and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Identify new research opportunities and develop innovative project proposals.

Contribute to the strategic direction of the AI research group.

Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.

A minimum of 5 years of post-Ph.

D. research experience, demonstrated through publications in leading AI venues. Deep theoretical understanding and practical experience with various machine learning algorithms (e.g., supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning). Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex research concepts clearly.

Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research-intensive environment.

Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing is a plus.

Must be based in or willing to relocate to Sokoto, Sokoto, NG.
