Our client, a cutting-edge scientific research and development firm, is seeking an exceptional Lead AI Research Scientist specializing in Computer Vision to join their fully remote, globally distributed team.

This is a pivotal role for an individual with a deep passion for pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

You will lead ambitious research projects focused on developing novel algorithms and models for image and video analysis, object detection, semantic segmentation, and generative AI.

Your responsibilities will include defining research roadmaps, designing and implementing experimental frameworks, analyzing complex datasets, and translating research findings into practical applications.

You will be expected to publish in top-tier conferences and journals, contributing to the scientific community and establishing our client as a leader in AI research.

Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with other AI scientists, data engineers, and product teams to integrate your innovations.

A strong theoretical foundation in mathematics, statistics, and machine learning is essential, alongside hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

The ability to mentor junior researchers and guide them through complex technical challenges will be a significant advantage.

This role requires a proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives in an independent work environment and can manage their time effectively to meet project milestones.

A strong publication record in reputable AI venues is highly desirable.

Responsibilities: Lead and conduct advanced research in computer vision and deep learning.

Develop and implement novel AI algorithms and models for image/video understanding.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research into applications.

Mentor and guide junior researchers.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and computer vision.

Contribute to the strategic direction of AI research initiatives.

Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code. Present research progress and findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. 5+ years of post-doctoral research experience in computer vision. Proven track record of publications in top-tier AI conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML).

Expertise in deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Strong understanding of linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.

Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed computing.

Excellent programming skills in Python.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated leadership potential.
