Our client, a cutting-edge technology firm specializing in artificial intelligence solutions, is seeking an experienced Lead AI/ML Engineer to spearhead the development of advanced predictive analytics models.

This is a remote position where you will have the opportunity to work on challenging problems and contribute to groundbreaking AI applications.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying sophisticated machine learning models to solve complex business challenges across various domains.

This includes data preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, training, validation, and deployment.

Your expertise will guide the team in leveraging state-of-the-art algorithms and techniques in areas such as deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learning.

You will collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

A key aspect of this role involves leading and mentoring a team of AI/ML engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring the quality and robustness of our AI systems.

You will also stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the field, evaluating and implementing new technologies and methodologies.

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and proficiency in MLOps practices for model deployment and monitoring are essential.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong theoretical foundation in machine learning and statistics, coupled with hands-on experience in developing and deploying production-ready AI models.

Excellent programming skills in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) are a must.

Strong communication and leadership abilities are required to effectively guide the team and present complex technical concepts to stakeholders.

This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI and driving impactful technological innovation from a remote setting.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models for predictive analytics.

Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and deep learning architectures.

Conduct data analysis, feature engineering, and model validation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into products and services.

Mentor and guide junior AI/ML engineers and data scientists.

Evaluate and implement new AI technologies and research findings.

Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of AI models in production.

Develop and maintain MLOps pipelines for efficient model deployment and monitoring.

Present technical findings and project progress to stakeholders. Contribute to the strategic direction of AI initiatives within the company.

Qualifications:

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead role.

Proven track record of developing and deploying production-level AI/ML models.

Expertise in programming languages such as Python and associated libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras).

Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.

Published research or contributions to open-source AI projects are highly desirable.

This position is based in Bauchi, Bauchi, NG and is a fully remote role.
