Our client is at the forefront of developing innovative AI solutions and is seeking a highly qualified and forward-thinking Remote AI Ethicist & Governance Specialist.

This fully remote role is critical in ensuring that our client's AI systems are developed and deployed responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with evolving global regulations.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping AI governanceframeworks, conducting ethical impact assessments, and advising development teams on best practices.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of AI technologies, ethical principles, and regulatory landscapes.

You will collaborate closely with research scientists, engineers, legal counsel, and product managers to embed ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement AI ethics policies, guidelines, and governance frameworks.

Conduct comprehensive ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for AI projects.

Advise cross-functional teams on ethical considerations related to data privacy, bias mitigation, transparency, and fairness in AI systems.

Monitor emerging AI regulations and industry standards globally and translate them into actionable recommendations.

Develop training programs and educational materials on AI ethics for internal stakeholders.

Facilitate discussions and workshops on AI ethics and responsible innovation.

Engage with external stakeholders, including policymakers, academics, and civil society organizations, on AI governance issues.

Contribute to the development of tools and methodologies for evaluating and auditing AI systems for ethical compliance.

Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in AI ethics, fairness, accountability, and transparency (FAT). Champion a culture of responsible AI development and deployment within the organization.

Qualifications:

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field such as Philosophy, Law, Public Policy, Computer Science with an ethics focus, or a related discipline.

Demonstrated expertise in AI ethics, responsible AI, and AI governance.

Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning principles, and their societal implications. Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and AI-related legislation.

Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Experience in policy development, risk assessment, or compliance within a technology context.

Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.

Proven ability to influence and drive change within an organization.
