Our client is seeking a visionary and highly skilled Principal AI/ML Engineer to join our advanced research and development team.
This is a fully remote opportunity, allowing top talent to work from anywhere in the world.
The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying complex AI systems and algorithms.
You will lead critical projects, mentor engineers, and drive innovation in areas such as deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive modeling.
This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for solving challenging problems with cutting-edge AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of sophisticated AI and Machine Learning models and algorithms.
Architect and implement scalable AI/ML pipelines for training, evaluation, and deployment.
Conduct advanced research into new AI methodologies and technologies.
Develop and optimize machine learning models for applications in areas such as predictive analytics, recommendation systems, natural language processing, and computer vision.
Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to integrate AI solutions into products and services.
Mentor and guide junior AI/ML engineers, fostering their technical growth and best practices.
Stay abreast of the latest research papers, industry trends, and open-source developments in AI/ML.
Evaluate and select appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies for AI development.
Ensure the ethical and responsible development and deployment of AI systems.
Optimize model performance, efficiency, and scalability for production environments.
Contribute to the strategic vision and technical roadmap for AI initiatives.
Present complex technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Develop and maintain robust documentation for AI models and systems.
Drive innovation and identify new opportunities for applying AI to solve business problems. Champion best practices in MLOps and AI system lifecycle management.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models in production environments.
Deep expertise in at least one major area of AI/ML (e.g., deep learning, NLP, computer vision, reinforcement learning). Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras).
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, data mining, and algorithm design.
Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical projects.
Experience with MLOps principles and tools is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
