Our client, a pioneering technology company at the forefront of AI and Emerging Technologies, is actively seeking a Senior AI Ethics and Governance Specialist.
This fully remote position is crucial for ensuring that our client's AI development and deployment practices are aligned with ethical principles, regulatory frameworks, and societal values.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust AI governance policies, conducting ethical risk assessments, and fostering a culture of responsible AI innovation.
Your expertise will guide the company in navigating the complex ethical landscape of artificial intelligence.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing, implementing, and refining AI ethics policies, guidelines, and best practices across the organization.
Conducting comprehensive ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for AI systems and applications.
Collaborating with AI researchers, data scientists, engineers, and legal teams to embed ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle.
Providing expert guidance on issues related to fairness, accountability, transparency, bias mitigation, and privacy in AI.
Monitoring evolving AI regulations and ethical standards globally and ensuring organizational compliance.
Developing training programs and awareness initiatives to educate employees on AI ethics and responsible innovation.
Investigating and addressing ethical concerns raised by internal or external stakeholders regarding AI systems.
Contributing to the design and development of AI systems that uphold ethical principles and minimize potential harms.
Staying abreast of cutting-edge research and discourse in AI ethics, machine learning fairness, and related fields.
Representing the company in external forums, conferences, and working groups related to AI ethics and governance.
Advising product development teams on ethical implications of new AI features and functionalities.
Helping to build and maintain a responsible AI framework that fosters trust and societal benefit.
The ideal candidate will hold a Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Philosophy, Ethics, Law, Computer Science, Data Science, or Social Sciences, with a specialization in AI ethics or technology policy.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and implementing ethical frameworks, risk management, or governance policies, preferably within the technology sector or in relation to AI/ML, is required.
Demonstrated understanding of AI technologies, machine learning principles, and their societal implications is essential.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills are paramount.
Experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement, and conducting ethical reviews is highly valuable. Familiarity with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, AI Act proposals) is a plus.
