Our client is at the forefront of AI innovation and is seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Ethics Researcher to join their pioneering team.

This is a critical, fully remote position that will shape the responsible development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies.

As a Senior AI Ethics Researcher, you will delve into complex ethical challenges posed by AI, developing frameworks, guidelines, and best practices to ensure fairness, transparency, accountability, and societal benefit. You will collaborate with world-class researchers, engineers, and policymakers to embed ethical considerations into the core of our AI systems.

Responsibilities: Conduct cutting-edge research on AI ethics, bias detection and mitigation, fairness metrics, explainability, and privacy in AI.

Develop and refine ethical frameworks, principles, and guidelines for AI development and deployment.

Analyze the societal impact of AI technologies and propose solutions to mitigate potential harms.

Collaborate with AI development teams to integrate ethical considerations into the entire AI lifecycle, from design to deployment.

Engage with external stakeholders, including academics, policymakers, and industry experts, to foster dialogue and advance the field of AI ethics.

Publish research findings in leading academic venues and present at international conferences.

Contribute to the development of AI governance policies and standards.

Mentor junior researchers and contribute to building a culture of ethical awareness within the organization.

Advise product teams on the ethical implications of new AI features and applications. Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and ethical AI research.

Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Philosophy, Law, Sociology, or a related field with a strong focus on AI ethics or responsible AI.

Demonstrated track record of research in AI ethics, machine learning, or related areas, evidenced by publications or significant project contributions.

Deep understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and their ethical implications.

Experience in developing ethical frameworks, guidelines, or policy recommendations for technology.

Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.

Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI research (e.g., Python) is a plus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Experience with fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics (FATE) in AI is highly desirable.
