Full Description

Our client is seeking a distinguished Senior AI Ethics Researcher to join their pioneering team in Aba, Abia, NG.

This critical role will focus on addressing the complex ethical challenges posed by artificial intelligence technologies.

You will be at the forefront of developing frameworks, guidelines, and best practices to ensure the responsible and beneficial development and deployment of AI.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AI principles, coupled with a strong grounding in ethics, philosophy, law, or social sciences.

Your work will directly influence the ethical trajectory of cutting-edge AI innovations.

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth research on AI ethics issues, including bias, fairness, accountability, transparency, privacy, and safety.

Develop and refine ethical frameworks, principles, and guidelines for AI development and deployment.

Analyze the societal impact of AI technologies and propose mitigation strategies for potential harms.

Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, product managers, and legal teams to integrate ethical considerations into the AI lifecycle.

Publish research findings in leading academic journals and present at international conferences.

Advise on policy recommendations and engage with external stakeholders, including regulators and industry bodies.

Develop educational materials and training programs on AI ethics for internal teams.

Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and their associated ethical implications.

Contribute to the company's thought leadership in the field of AI ethics. Assess and mitigate ethical risks in AI projects undertaken in Aba, Abia, NG.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. or equivalent research experience in AI Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Computer Science (with a focus on ethics), Sociology, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of dedicated research experience in AI ethics or a closely related area.

Demonstrated expertise in identifying, analyzing, and proposing solutions for complex ethical dilemmas in technology.

Strong publication record in reputable peer-reviewed venues.

Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and communicate complex ideas effectively.

Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and applications.

Experience with policy development and stakeholder engagement is highly desirable.

Must be based in or willing to relocate to Aba, Abia, NG.
