Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior AI Research Engineer to join their cutting-edge team in Gombe, Gombe, NG .

This role is critical in advancing our client's capabilities in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing novel AI algorithms and models to solve complex problems across various domains.

Thisposition requires a strong theoretical foundation in AI/ML, practical experience in software development, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct research and develop state-of-the-art AI and machine learning models.

Design, implement, and deploy AI solutions for diverse applications, including natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics.

Stay at the forefront of AI research by reading academic papers, attending conferences, and experimenting with new techniques.

Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to translate research findings into practical applications.

Build and maintain robust data pipelines for training and evaluating AI models.

Develop and optimize algorithms for performance, scalability, and efficiency.

Contribute to the overall AI strategy and roadmap of the organization.

Mentor junior researchers and engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Publish research findings in relevant journals and conferences.

Ensure the ethical and responsible development and deployment of AI systems.

Evaluate and select appropriate tools, libraries, and frameworks for AI development. Document research processes, methodologies, and results thoroughly.

Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI research and development, with a proven track record of innovation. Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., deep learning, reinforcement learning, supervised/unsupervised learning).

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn.

Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark).

Strong software engineering skills, including experience with version control (Git) and software development best practices.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Experience in areas like NLP, computer vision, or recommendation systems is highly desirable.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, hybrid team.
