Our client, a cutting-edge research and development firm at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence, is seeking an accomplished Senior AI Research Scientist specializing in Computer Vision to join their innovative team in Makurdi, Benue, NG.

This role involves pioneering research and development of advanced computer vision algorithms and models that will drive next-generation AI applications.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, significant research experience, and a proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical, high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct groundbreaking research in computer vision, including areas such as image recognition, object detection, segmentation, 3D vision, and generative models.

Develop, implement, and evaluate novel AI algorithms and deep learning architectures.

Design and execute experiments to validate research hypotheses and measure performance.

Collaborate with a team of leading AI researchers and engineers to push the boundaries of AI capabilities.

Publish research findings in top-tier AI conferences and journals.

Contribute to the development of AI products and applications, ensuring state-of-the-art performance.

Mentor junior researchers and guide their technical development.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and computer vision. Develop and maintain strong programming skills in relevant languages (e.g., Python) and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights for model improvement.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in Computer Vision or Machine Learning.

Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral research experience in AI/ML/Computer Vision.

Proven track record of high-impact research, evidenced by publications in top-tier conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML) and journals. Deep understanding of deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., OpenCV, scikit-learn).

Strong programming skills in Python and C++.

Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed training is highly desirable.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

Experience in leading research projects or teams is a plus.
