Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior AI Research Scientist to join their cutting-edge team in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, NG .

This role focuses on the research and development of advanced generative AI models, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in areas such as natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learning.

You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and evaluating novel algorithms and architectures, contributing to groundbreaking AI advancements.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep theoretical understanding of machine learning, coupled with strong practical experience in building and deploying large-scale AI systems.

You will collaborate with a team of world-class researchers and engineers, publishing findings in top-tier conferences and journals, and translating research breakthroughs into tangible product features.

Responsibilities include:

Conducting fundamental research in generative models, including GANs, VAEs, diffusion models, and large language models.

Developing and implementing new AI algorithms and model architectures.

Designing and executing experiments to validate research hypotheses.

Analyzing complex datasets and extracting actionable insights.

Collaborating with engineering teams to deploy research prototypes into production systems.

Staying abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.

Mentoring junior researchers and contributing to a collaborative research environment. Publishing research findings in leading academic venues and presenting at conferences.

Qualifications:

PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.

Proven track record of research contributions in AI, with publications in top-tier venues.

Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.

Expertise in one or more areas: NLP, Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, Generative Models.

Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing is a plus.
