This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of d-Matrix. We are currently looking for a Senior Director, AI Server Platforms & Rack-scale Solutions Engineering in United States.
This role offers the chance to lead the development of cutting-edge AI server and rack-scale solutions in a high-growth, innovation-driven environment. As Senior Director, you will oversee the design, validation, and optimization of hardware platforms, engaging closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to ensure world-class performance. You will influence system architecture, contribute to future product generations, and translate complex technical requirements into practical, scalable solutions. This position blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic customer engagement, making a direct impact on product excellence and market success. Accountabilities
• Lead the engineering and design of AI server platforms, rack-scale, and cluster solutions around inference accelerators.
• Engage with Datacenter, OEM, and ODM customers early in the product lifecycle to define requirements and guide system architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners to qualify, validate, and optimize hardware solutions.
• Drive technology analysis, benchmarking, and use-case definitions to ensure top-tier performance and customer experience.
• Provide strategic input into future product generations based on early engagement with customers and ecosystem partners.
• Ensure alignment across geographies and engineering disciplines to deliver timely, high-quality results.
• Act as a technical advisor and presenter with both internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating complex concepts.
• 15+ years of industry experience in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
• 5+ years of experience in AI server development, including design, memory, I/O, power management, boot process, firmware/BMC, validation, and production support.
• 5+ years in customer-facing roles working with OEMs, ODMs, and cloud service providers.
• Deep understanding of datacenter AI hardware infrastructure, GPU server, rack, and cluster-level solutions.
• Detailed knowledge of server industry standard buses such as DDR, PCIe, and other high-speed IO protocols.
• Proven ability to lead across engineering disciplines and geographies.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage executive stakeholders and technical teams effectively.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, execution-driven, and capable of influencing product and architecture decisions.
